The Story Behind the Mindset Pocket Guide: Why I Made It & Why You Might Need It Too

Over the years, I’ve had a lot of little journals. You know the kind—half-filled notebooks or dog-eared dollar-store specials, always floating around in my purse, truck, or toolbox. I’d jot things down whenever a good thought hit me. Something I heard on a podcast, a phrase from a business book, or even a one-liner from a client that made me stop and think.
Those little scribbles? They saved me more than once.

Running your own business, especially as a woman who’s expected to wear a hundred hats, can feel like trying to fix a leaky sink with a teaspoon. Some days you feel capable and confident. Other days? Not so much. And when those wobbly days show up, mindset matters more than anything else. That’s why I created the Mindset Pocket Guide.
What started as scribbles turned into something steady.
Over time, I realized the things I kept writing down weren’t random—they were reminders. Anchors. A kind of mental toolbox I could reach for when the doubt crept in. The truth is, mindset isn’t a one-time fix. It’s something you maintain, adjust, and check in on, just like your smoke alarms or furnace filter. (Yeah, I went there...home maintenance is just as important as mind maintenance!)
I also noticed that I could read the same book three times and take away something different every time. Not because the book changed—but because I had. Where I was in my life or business shifted how the message landed. That’s the beauty of mindset work—it grows with you.
So what is the Mindset Pocket Guide, exactly?
Think of it as a collection of those scraps and scribbles—curated, cleaned up, and handed over to you.
Inside, you’ll find:
Mindset prompts that cut through the noise
Simple reflections to help you make clear-headed decisions
Powerful reframes that help you get back on track when you feel off
Confidence boosters that remind you of who you are and what you’re capable of
It’s the kind of thing you’ll want to keep nearby—on your desk, in your glovebox, or saved on your phone for those “I can’t do this” moments.
Why I want to share it with you
I made this guide because I know what it’s like to feel stuck, unsure, or just plain tired of overthinking. I’ve had to coach myself through a lot of those days. And I figured—why not share the tools?

This isn’t about pretending everything’s fine or forcing positivity. It’s about having a real, practical resource to remind you, help you reset and reconnect to your purpose when things feel wobbly. I want you to have the same kind of permission slip I gave myself: to pause, reflect, and shift your mindset—without shame.
